EPT: Emergency Preparedness Trunk

The intention of the design was to provide a temporary space for people displaced from their homes due to natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes. The trunk is easily transportable because of the lightweight materials and hollow-core design. It is flat with removable handles so many can be packed without damage into a cargo box. The trunk forms a private space for the individual when opened to a 90° angle. The object gives them a private space to sleep and store their personal items.
